To call Pablo Casacuberta a renaissance man would not be an overstatement. Pablo is not only an accomplished painter, but also an author with 7 novels to his credit. He is the winner of the Uruguayan National Literature Prize and was selected by the Hay Festival as one of the 39 most promising Latin American writers under forty. He is also a well-known TV and film director, has received a Clio and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award.

In addition to writing and directing, Pablo has devoted an increasing amount of time to inquire about the nature of communicative acts and has presented several conferences on the matter, most notably at the Vivamérica festival in Madrid (2009) and in the headquarters of MTV International in Buenos Aires (2008). In the last three years he has conducted a course on the neurological basis of art and communication in the National Film School of Uruguay.

It’s hard to put a label on Pablo’s artwork… Graffiti meets Collage is the best I can do, but it is deeply cerebral and quite culturally significant.
