This incredible Gretsch Chet Atkins Hollowbody Country Gentleman model is serial # 17440 and dates back to 1967. This gorgeous guitar is completely original and is NOS (new old stock). According to my research, the serial # translates to:
1 = Jan.
7 = 1967
440 = 440st guitar made in 1967
The guitar has recently been conservation repaired by a guitar expert to include repairing binding around the guitar. See pictures clearly illustrating the repair
