There was 1 guitar produced for each month of the year and only 100 of each was made (1 for each of the 100 years). Finding a complete set in new/unplayed condition is very rare. Owner paid $10,000 each for these guitars ($120,000 total) back in 1994.

This set includes the original cases, and comes with original certificates, promo items etc, as well all of the original shipping cartons from Gibson.

The year 1994 was a big one for Gibson, representing its 100th anniversary, and the company wanted to “do it big”. Promotional material issued to “valued collectors” announced the Gibson Centennial Collection, and told anxious buyers that “this is an opportunity which is offered once in a lifetime so don’t wait another hundred years!”

Only 100 of each guitar model was produced with some of the most elegant enhancements offered by a guitar manufacturer to that date.
