1980 Euro Mercedes 380SLC 75K Miles Red/Palomino
I am pleased to offer this highly desirable Euro 1980 C-107 Mercedes Benz 380SLC. This beauty is powered by a 3.8 liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Mileage shows 75,8XX miles and is believed to be true. VIN # is WBD10702512000125.
Owner has owned the car for approx. 10 years and is believed to be the second owner. Beautiful red exterior with palomino velour/fabric interior. Paint and interior are in excellent condition.
This car is the much rarer four-seater coupe version of the well-known R107 convertible. It gained a longer wheelbase and four seats for added practicality. Though the SL was sold for 18 years, the SLC model was retired in 1981, so they’re far more difficult to source. This particular car has been owned by the current owner for the last 10 years (at least), which should boost buyer confidence. The 380 is also a rare version of the SLC with V8 power that was only sold for one model year.
The SLC received a fixed roof and a wheelbase stretched by about 14 inches to accommodate a four-seater layout. It was positioned as both a more spacious version of the SL and a two-door alternative to the W116 S-Class. 1981 brought a 3.8-liter V8. While the SL lived on until 1991, the SLC retired after 1981 to leave space for the “C126” SEC.
