1956 Red Chrysler 300B One of 1102 Built Factory AC Air Original Interior & Hemi
I am pleased to offer this rare 1956 Chrysler 300B. This great car is only one of 1102 built in 1956 and comes with rare factory air conditioning (blows cold), rare red factory color and still retains it’s original interior (also rare). A very nice driver quality car that has had a repaint in the past that shows very well today. Car is a #’s matching vehicle with original hemi motor.
Of the 1102 produced, most were white or black. Red is the least produced and most desirable color by far. Of the red cars, very few came with factory air and retain their original interior. This is a very rare car indeed. Car comes with bunch of 300B stuff (factory brochure, service manual, memorabilia etc). Car was owned by collectors and was properly maintained with great documentation and attention to detail.
The 1955 Chrysler 300 hardtop was the first real muscle car, with 300 horsepower from its 331-c.i. Hemi V-8, 0-90 mph in 16.9 seconds, and a top speed of 130 mph. The company sold 1,725 of these homologation specials, and Chrysler dominated NASCAR.
The 300B of 1956 gained 12-volt electrics and the signature fins that were applied to all Chryslers. The Hemi V-8 was punched out to 354-c.i. and 340 hp, while high compression heads delivered 355 hp—more than one per cubic inch. The 300B set the world passenger car record for speed at Daytona Beach at 133.9 mph and 1,102 were sold.
