This is a rust-free Texas car and is in fact a concours winner. It took first place in class at the Midwest Regional 2000 RROC Concours. It has been properly looked after, correctly stored, driven regularly in the interim, and is ready to repeat its first place victory. Proper Lucas headlights and Lucas auxiliary driving lamps are in place for the next judging! PAINT: Bare metal repaint of VERY rust free Texas car in December of 1994. The car was, in fact, in a museum for many years prior to being brought to Illinois in early 1994 by the fellow that commissioned the majority of the restoration work. INTERIOR: The interior wood is all in excellent condition. I would say that it is superb, original, or nicely refinished many years ago, except for the fact that the dashboard facia has a slight patina to it. With the exception of the front seat cushions, the owner believes that all of the leather is original and it is in excellent condition for being so. It has been expertly refinished, matches perfectly, and is not brittle, or sticky. Another note from the seller: "The magnificent, original aroma of the Connolly leather and walnut permeates the interior. Upon entry, one instantly notices this superb combination of scents rarely found in a vintage Bentley-restored or not." UNDERCARRIAGE: The undercarriage is in excellent order as the pictures show.
Service receipts in excess of $33,000 including: - Rebuilt transmission in May of 1994 - Brand new and correct head liner and carpets were fitted in October of 1995 - Rear shocks were rebuilt in March of 1996 - All new weatherstripping was installed in August of 1996 - New cylinder head gaskets and other engine seals were replaced in September of 1997 - New exhaust in March of 1999 - Major brake system service including master cylinder re-sleeving in April of 1999 - Starter rebuilt in August of 1999 - Complete refurbishment of the cooling system in November of 2000 - Major transmission service including band adjustment and factory throttle linkage settings completed in December of 2000 - Brand new and correct tires installed in February of 2001. They currently have less than 3,000 miles on them All this work is, of course, in conjunction with an unparalleled maintenance regimen of tune-ups and oil changes. Many other items, though less costly, have been attended to and renewed as well. All glass is excellent. Zero wiper blade scratches. A modern Compact Disc player and speaker system has been tastefully installed with NO alterations to the dashboard. The original radio was saved. Additionally, a modern and effective trunk-mounted air conditioning unit was fitted, and cools beautifully! Power steering, power windows, and air conditioning make this example a joy to drive. The car is 100% complete, right down to the fully stocked small tool kit in the trunk. The car starts, runs, shifts, drives, and stops as it should. Everything works - even the clock!
According to the 2007 Sports Car Market Price Guide (The Bible for collector cars), this car was valued at between $40,000-$60,000 with a 28% increase in value over the prior 12 months. In the 2008 price guide, the '64 Bentley S3 is valued at $50,000-$75,000 with a 25% increase over the past 12 months. Don't wait too long for this great car as it is clearly on an upward trend.

Vehicle Condition - - I have not personally inspected or photographed this vehicle. I am relying on the pictures and descriptions provided by the seller. There is not, nor was there ever any rust on the car. The body gaps and shut lines could hardly be improved upon from those of the factory. The paint was applied by P.B.S Restorations, a very well known shop in the area, and one that is responsible for several Concours winners. This happens to be one of them, and the judging score cards are present in the file. The paint is still in superb condition some 13 years later which, if nothing else, is a testimonial to the expertise with which it was applied. The body is extremely free of dents and "dings." The paint is really quite mirror-like in appearance. I invite and encourage any interested party to inspect this car in the Arlington Heights, IL. area (NW of Chicago 25 miles) and determine for yourself that this car is truly in super condition.
