| 1967 Chevelle Pro Touring Custom Convertible Nitrous 572 Crate MotorYou are here > Sold > Sold Vehicles
The current owner purchased this car with a Chevy 572 crate motor that was running 12.5:1 compression ratio and using racing fuel. He wanted to be able to use pump gas but didn't want to give up any of the horsepower. He recently went to a well known NHRA pro Stock team owner and spent $35,000 modifying the engine, transmission and suspension to run pump gas with a 10.5:1 compression while still producing 700HP or 1000HP with the nitrous. Details of the modifications are extensive and available upon request or see pictures of the summary below. The car is custom from bumper to bumper. It features: - Air Ride Technologies Air suspension - Global West Suspension System - Baer Brakes - Custom LED Tail Lights - Xenon Head Lights - Custom Pro Street Reclining Vinyl Seats - Boyd Coddington One Off Forged Wheels with New Pirelli Tires (P295/25ZR 22 front and P215/35 ZR 19 rear) - 350 HP Nitrous system - Triple gauge package in the glove box - AM/FM CD stereo - (turn it off and enjoy the motor sounds) The car has benefitted from an incredible $40,000 custom paint job (the cost of a nicely optioned Lexus RX350). There was 200 hours spent block sanding the car (that's why it's laser straight). The black paint is smooth, shiny and utterly outstanding. The underside and engine compartment are show quality. The entire car is a show stopping beast BUT just wait until you turn the key. This Chevelle rumples to life with a deep exhaust roar with every blip of the gas pedal.
