| 1940's Excelsior 47/S1 Autobyk de luxe Spryt Rare Fully RestoredYou are here > Sold Inventory > Sold Motorcycles & Choppers Originally from the private collection of a noted vintage motorcycle enthusiast, this 1940's Excelsior 47/S1 Autobyk de luxe is a true rarity. While exact details are not known of this motor bike, research has shown it to be an Autobyk produced around 1949 with the designation 47/S1 (cannot be 100% certain). It is powered by a 98cc 2 stroke Excelsior "Spryt" motor. This gorgeous museum quality motor bike has been painstakingly and professionally restored to it's original splendor. Currently there is no gas or oil in the bike because it is being displayed indoors. It is a fully functional motor bike but never fueled or driven since complete restoration. Due to it's incredible age, there is not a lot of data available on this motor bike. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves and try to answer any questions as they come up. The owner of this machine is a renowned collector who has decided to reduce his collection at this time. He has a broad assortment of carousel horses, classic jukeboxes, vintage motor bikes and other rare but cool items etc. He has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles and judging by this machine, he clearly only collects the best.
