Boyd Coddington Ron Simms Custom One of a Kind Prototype Motorcycle
And now for something completely different - that was my first impression when I saw this bike. If you'd like to own something that is a rolling piece of art designed and built by Boyd Coddington and Ron Simms - I think your ride has just arrived.
The bike was built as a concept bike in 1996 by Boyd Coddington and Ron Simms. It was built to compete with the designs that Arlen Ness was putting out at the time and the plan was to build more using the same concept, but the cost was too high. The bodywork on this bike is completely made from aluminum - if the bike would have gone into production, fiberglass would have been used - making this prototype truly special.
The bike is 1 of 1 and was sold to a collector in Denver, Colorado from whom the current owner purchased the bike in 2004. It has been ridden mostly around town with an occasional ride ranging in the 130 mile round trip range. The bike has been featured in several magazines and can be found in Ron Simms’ order catalog.
Needless to say, this bike grabs attention everywhere it goes. Whenever it is parked, people flock around it even when parked next to the newest and flashiest baggers.
