John Collier Original Watercolor 'England 1953'
John Collier has reached the pinnacle of the illustrative art world with his lyrical and beautiful compositions. He is one of the most highly recognized illustrators in modern times, with awards and accolades from such institutions as The Society of Illustrators, the Hall of Fame of American Illustration, and many institutions of higher learning. He has of course worked for many well known publications and companies, including Atlantic Monthly, C.B.S., Conde Nast Publications, Forbes Magazine, New York City Ballet, New York Times, Walt Disney Productions, Time Magazine, and many more.
John's work has been exhibited in galleries, auction houses, and the Smithsonian Institute’s Traveling Art Exhibition, as well as gracing many public and private locations, including churches. In addition to painting, John was selected in a competition of more than 30 artists to be the chief sculptor for the Catholic Memorial at Ground Zero.
His father is a very well known Texas regional artist and has a work in the permanent collection in the White House
