| Maniac Original Movie Poster 1981 HorrorYou are here > Unique Collectibles > Movie Posters Available today is an original folded one sheet movie poster from the 1981 release of Maniac starring joe Spinell with special effects by Tom Savini. It was obtained directly from a theater owner in the late 1980's and is guaranteed to be 100% original. Size is 27" X 41". Again, this is not a reprint. According to Yahoo Movies: "A man who was previously abused by his mother takes out his frustrations on innocent women. He scalps them and uses their hair to make wigs for his mannequins. Upon its release in 1980 this film was accused by critics of taking the slasher film and its accompanying gore effects to new, unpleasantly graphic levels. Special effects were orchestrated by Tom Savini."
