1956 Chevy Nomad Resto Mod Full Professional Restoration

Available today is one beautiful 1956 Nomad Resto Mod. This beauty is painted in two tone Poppy Red and Almond Cream base coat/clear coat with custom buckskin colored leather interior (door panels, headliner, steering wheel and seats) with tan carpeting. VIN # is VC56L029271.

Complete professional restoration was completed in 2006.
Mileage driven since restoration is only 2970 +/- miles.

The car features:

DRIVETRAIN:

- Chevy 350 crate motor (290HP)
- 700R4 automatic trans.
- Holley carb
- Edelbrock Performer intake
- 650 Steering box
- Billet valve covers and air cleaner
- Serpentine belt drive
- Polished Mattison radiator and condenser
- Jet coated headers with stainless Exhaust and tailpipes
- Firewall smoothed and engine bay detailed

SUSPENSION & WHEELS:


- 4 wheel power disc brakes
- Front - 18" Intro Style wheels with 235/40ZR18 tires
- Rear - 20" Intro Style wheels with 275/35ZR20 tires
- 1" drop springs in rear
- 2" drop spindles in front with taller powder coated springs installed (net result of 1" drop)
- Tubular upper control arms
- Williams rear cross member

INTERIOR:


- Dakota digital dash and clock
- Aluminum dash inserts and knobs
- CJ's brushed tilt stainless steering column
- Custom Intro steering wheel (original wheel included)
- Stereo with remote 6 CD changer under rear seat
- All glass is new and tinted
- Nurelics power windows with all new smoked trim
- Interior molding replated
- American Autowire wiring
- Remote door locks and power windows
- All rubber mouldings are new
- New vintage air conditioning and heat - uses R134

EXTERIOR & OTHER:


- NOS left side spot light mirror ($1200)
- All exterior stainless moulding straightened and restored
- Has optional fender birds
- Stainless steel rocker panel moldings (not installed)
- Lift gate was professionally rebuilt, straightened and plated by Jerry Cabunoc in California
- Power Steering
- Doors locks have been shaved
- Windshield wipers blades and arms have been removed (not installed)

Other parts included but not installed:
- Right and left mirrors
- Rocker panel mouldings
- Wheel well mouldings behind front wheels

You Couldn't Build it for this Price

With production of the 1956 Nomad at only 8386, finding one to restore and turn to a resto mod is getting tougher and tougher. If you found one, expect to pay approx. $20,000-$30,000 and then add another $80,000-$100,000 depending where you have it done to restore and build. Why do the work if this car is already done.





This is a classic Nomad with modern drivetrain and all the right amenities. Drive it and enjoy it or wow the crowd at the next car show.

I have not personally inspected or photographed this vehicle. I am relying on the pictures and descriptions provided to me by the seller. The car is very well built and well maintained. It is a turn key show car to be driven and enjoyed.
