Sold For: $1,300
1948 DeSoto 4 Door Custom Fluid Drive Sedan Project or Parts Car
This is a 1948 DeSoto 4 Door Custom Fluid Drive Sedan. The seller has owned this car for 35 years and it is a complete car and comes with a clear title. It has not run in years and is obviously a project car or parts car. Mileage shows 34,233 on the odometer but actual mileage is unknown.
I strongly advise any interested party to inspect the car or have it inspected prior to bidding. This is being sold as a non running car in "as is" and "where is" condition. You will need to have it picked up or towed from the property.
The car features a flat head 6 motor with fluid drive transmission. Also, the numbers on the trim plate on the firewall are as follows:
1948 DeSoto 4 Door Custom Sedan
Original Flat Head 6 Motor
Trim Tag and ID Plate
Vehicle Condition - - I have personally inspected and photographed this vehicle. It is a non running project car that can be restored and brought back to life. Interior is rough.
I've seen worse cars that have come back to incredible condition. This car will take dedication and knowledge but does represent a great project for father and son for example. Could also be a great street rod.
Remember that it is being offered in rough yet original condition. It is clearly being offered in "as is" and "where is" condition.
I invite and encourage any interested party to inspect this classic in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

**If you are considering this car and worried that it will be swiped up by another admiring Ebayer, use the Buy it Now so that you can sleep comfortably at night knowing that the car is yours. Please note that if you hit the Buy it Now by mistake (as has happened in the past), you will be charged a $75 re-listing fee. Bid carefully.
Take advantage of proxy bidding: Don't loose the vehicle at the last minute! There have been many people who have lost bids in the past because they were not familiar with proxy bidding. When you bid, bid the maximum amount that you are willing to spend on the vehicle. Each time someone bids higher than your last bid, eBay will automatically increment your bid by the minimum bid amount until it reaches your maximum. Don't get stuck loosing a good deal!
